How and when did you discover CrossFit?

I discovered CrossFit, about 8 years ago, when my neighbor Mark knew I was looking for a new gym and recommended his gym, EverProven.

How has CrossFit affected you since you started?

CrossFit has affected me very positively. I am more confident in myself and have realized that I am stronger physically and mentally than I thought. (My 20 year-old self would of never imagined my almost 50 year-old self rope climbing or using a barbell!). It has also changed my perspective on body image by helping me embrace a strong body over a number on the scale. Overall I feel I’m a happier and more positive person. When your surrounded by this community how could you not be?

What class do you normally attend?

8:30 and 12:00

What are your short and long term goals?

I hope to be able to do a strict pull up as a short term goal (but it may turn out to be a long term goal;)). Long term goals would have to include kipping pull ups and connecting double unders.

What’s your favorite WOD/movement?

Handstand push-ups

What’s your LEAST favorite WOD/movement?

Anything that includes the assault bike.

What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?

I lived in Saudi Arabia for two years.
