How and when did you discover CrossFit & what concerns or problems did you have before you started?
I discovered CrossFit in 2021 through my husband Mike. My biggest concern was the loss of physical strength and endurance I had experienced postpartum. I felt disconnected from myself and even my community. Mike encouraged me that joining a class styled fitness program may help me get back on track with my health & wellness goals, as well as, give me a community to connect too.
What results have you gotten so far?
My accomplishments are immeasurable. I trusted from conversations with Mike that the community was not like every other gym we had been too; but the entire experience surpassed all expectations. It’s been more than just getting stronger physically, my mental and emotional fortitude has strengthened too.
There’s always something new to challenge myself with; and every time I hit a PR or improve a movement, it builds a sense of achievement I didn’t know I could have.
What is different about EverProven services?
EverProven is not like any other gym I have been too. First and foremost, right from the get go, you learn this is a gym that is going to make sure you are safe & feel confident before you even join one of the classes. They do this by utilizing an OnRamp program to thoroughly introduce you to each movement & gage your ability and comfort level. No other gym has been so attentive. As someone who works in the Health Care profession, I have great appreciation for this high standard.
From there, the journey anyone takes with the gym is up to them, and the best part is there are numerous services available to tailor it to your needs. You will absolutely get out of this gym what you put into it.
If you have concerns about Nutrition, there are coaches & programs you can utilize to educate and help you. If you’re not feeling coordinated or have seemed to hit a plateau on your technique with any of the lifts/gymnastics movements, there is a coach who has a small group program you can capitalize on to improve! Have a habit to sometimes drop off of your routine of coming to the gym? You can expect any number of the friends you make at the gym, or one of the coaches to reach out to you to genuinely see how you’re doing.
What would you tell someone that is on the fence about joining EverProven?
It’s normal to be on the fence about starting a fitness program. Everyone has their reasons for WHY they are hesitating. Time, finances, not feeling good enough or being intimidated by the idea of CrossFit all together. There are many reasons to hesitate. Yet, you will never know unless you try. I think my favorite thing, is that before you even start, you have to complete the OnRamp. Regardless if you’re a master athlete or a complete beginner to the fitness world. A major part of that OnRamp is for you to get to know the gym, and the coaches. You will talk, and you can discuss any goals, fears, concerns or hesitancy that you have, and the coach will listen to you to ensure EverProven is the community that will meet your goals, and help you overcome your challenges. So set up that first meeting!
What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?
My most favorite quote is “What is success?” from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
