How and when did you discover CrossFit?
I started CrossFit about 2 years ago. While the first year wasn’t so consistent, I’ve definitely made up for it in the second! Before starting I always looked at CrossFit as too challenging and didn’t think I was strong enough to do it, but was I wrong! I love that CrossFit is scalable for everyone. Even after my accident, I was still able to attend classes and modify what I needed.
How has CrossFit affected you since you started?
As a socially awkward introvert, CrossFit has forced me to come out of my shell and I’ve really loved getting to know everyone in the community. It’s even boosted my self confidence both in the gym and in my personal life!
What class do you normally attend?
Either the 8:30 or noon
What are your short and long term goals?
My short term goals are double-unders and kipping pull-ups. My long term goal is to get to the performance level during workouts, specifically I want to RX the Murph!
What’s your favorite WOD/movement?
My favorite is either deadlifts or power cleans.
What’s your LEAST favorite WOD/movement?
My least favorite is anything with burpees or the echo bike.
What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?
Recently I’ve started wake surfing and now it’s my new obsession! I could be in the water all summer if it were possible.
