How and when did you discover CrossFit & what concerns or problems did you have before you started?
I discovered CrossFit after googling “hardest workout possible” and decided that was what I wanted to try! I was definitely scared that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with everyone else and that people would judge me. I had a running half marathons in my pocket but I couldn’t carry my groceries up the stairs without feeling like I was going to pass out.
What results have you gotten so far?
I’ve gotten strong! I never imagined I would be lifting weights and doing other movements. My body moves very rigidly so it’s awesome to see how much has changed since I started. I’ve gotten a lot more confident with how my body moves and what it can do.
What is different about EverProven services?
Being at EverProven 6 months of the year and another CrossFit gym (that I adore as well) for the other six months, the biggest difference I notice is the availability of coaches. With the amount of coaches available, there’s always a different perspective or little tweak they find to make things easier for different bodies. The amount of knowledge in one gym is amazing to have access to. I never feel like I’m stuck doing something I’m not able to or doing a scale that is far too easy.
What would you tell someone that is on the fence about joining EverProven?
CrossFit seems scary when you’re on the outside looking in but the second you walk through the door, you’re part of the family! There’s no judgment what so ever and everyone is literally so friendly!
What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?
I’ve been to every contiguous state driving a tractor trailer as an over the road truck driver!
