How and when did you discover CrossFit & what concerns or problems did you have before you started?
I had taken a free class back in 2018 and decided it wasn’t for me. If I’m being honest, I was just really out of shape, and having never done any upper body work, was probably doubly out of shape. If that’s a thing.
From there, all I “knew” was that guys my age who did CrossFit ended up injured. About 2 years ago, after some knee surgery, and a less than stellar attempt at wake boarding, I decided to truly give strength training a shot. My initial conversation here gave me confidence that our safety and overall health was a top concern of the gym (and the coaches) which encouraged me to sign up.
What results have you gotten so far?
I’ve definitely gotten stronger and I feel more agile. And I’ve recovered my confidence in my athletic ability.
What is different about EverProven services?
It’s a great learning environment. You won’t feel like you’re on your own in class.
What would you tell someone that is on the fence about joining EverProven?
Give it a shot. The classes are set up for our success. Every movement/weight can be scaled and you’ll never be discouraged from taking a step back to work on form, or just catch your breath.
What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?
I play guitar, and there was a brief moment, long ago, where I almost got comfortable playing in front of people.
