How and when did you discover CrossFit?
Eric: Kat had been watching the games for a number of years, and she kind of got me watching it with her. When we decided to leave orange theory for something different, we discovered Everproven and fell in love!
Katherine: I started watching CrossFit in college when my roommates were watching the games documentaries.
How has CrossFit affected you since you started?
Eric: In so many ways. I feel much stronger and more fit. My overall mood has improved. I’ve gained so many new friends. We’ve found our new second home.
Katherine: Since I started CrossFit, I have become more confident with how my body moves and with my fitness level. CrossFit has given me a fitness routine that I get excited about. I’ve also felt more comfortable being a more outgoing to connect with others, all because of this amazing, supportive community that is EverProven.
What class do you normally attend?
Both: 5:30 AM
What are your short and long term goals?
Eric: Short term- get better at dubs and wall walks / Long term- muscle ups and hand stand walks
Katherine: Short term- consistent DUs / Long term: participate in a comp
What’s your favorite WOD/movement?
Both: Any clean complex.
What’s your LEAST favorite WOD/movement?
Both: Wall walks.
What is one interesting fact many people don’t know about you?
Eric: I am a scratch golfer.
Katherine: I played for the Philippines Women’s National Soccer Team in World Cup qualifiers.
