That profound need for a safe, skilled, and radically welcoming environment is the very reason why we pour our hearts into the Adaptive Fitness Program (Abilities in Action) at EverProven Training and CrossFit. We are here to ensure that finding the right place is never the hardest part of the journey.
Finding the fire
The truth is, for many adaptive athletes and their families, the most difficult challenge isn’t the workout – it’s finding the place to have the workout. For individuals with autism, recovering from a TBI, or managing chronic mobility issues, the typical gym is often a world of confusion, unintended injury risk, or subtle exclusion.

Our Unified Coach Voice
“My deepest belief is that every person is an athlete. Our true power isn’t in the weight we lift, but in the community we build. A space where belonging is non-negotiable. That inclusion is the very foundation that turns fear into courage and potential into absolute capability.” – Breanna Ostrander, Adaptive Athlete Coach
“I started coaching because I wanted to bring the opportunity of fitness to more people in my community and help them understand how it can improve their quality of life. Everyone deserves that opportunity. When someone has challenges or obstacles between them and their ability to better themselves, let’s meet them where they are and coach them through each step forward.” – Connor Yeaney, Adaptive Athlete Coach
“I love the idea of helping everyone find ways to move and feel strong, no matter their ability. I’ve seen how powerful fitness can be for building confidence and community. I know it will challenge me to grow as a coach and give me a whole new perspective on what it means to be resilient and capable.” – Mike Jennings, Adaptive Athlete Coach
Our mission is to empower every adaptive athlete by providing specialized, expert-led training that fosters lifelong independence, physical capability, and inclusion within a supportive community.

The Essential Belief: You Are An Athlete
Our entire program is built on one fierce, non-negotiable belief: Every single person who walks through our doors is an athlete. We see not limitations, but powerful potential waiting for the right environment and the right coaching.
This program is designed for individuals of all ages who have ever felt excluded from a gym. This includes athletes with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis, or TBI. We don’t just treat the body; we transform the belief system.
How We Bring Our Mission to Life: Our Three Pillars
The physical gains are just the starting line. The true transformation happens when our three pillars converge into a unified path:
1. Specialized Training (Physical Capability)
This is the customized, long-term medicine required to sustain health and prevent regression.
- 1-on-1 Focus: Training is delivered through 1-on-1 personalized sessions and small group coaching (1:4 ratio). This ensures every movement is perfectly scaled for safety and function.
- Functional Goal: We build core strength, balance, coordination, and endurance, actively complementing the clinical work done in physical or occupational therapy to achieve real-world functional goals.
2. Community & Belonging (Inclusion)
The real magic happens when an athlete finds their team. This is the space we always dreamed of building.
- Radical Inclusion: We provide a fully integrated, non-judgmental space where athletes train alongside peers, building the confidence that comes from belonging to a high-performance group.
- Social Skill Transfer: The group setting fosters teamwork and communication, reinforcing essential social skills in a physical, high-energy environment.
3. Lifelong Wellness (Independence)
True independence is about owning your health journey, not just your workout.
- Education: We coach essential wellness habits that impact daily life and cognitive function, including principles of nutrition, quality sleep, and proactive stress management.
- Empowerment: This holistic approach ensures every athlete has the tools to manage their physical and mental health effectively outside of their gym sessions.
